Today I picked up my new glasses, which have a much thicker rim than my previous invisible ones.
Red rim that is. Bit scary because it is quite a change, but according to Jon "they are not all that different". Guys...
I desperately needed new lenses, and as my old glasses are falling apart I figured I should choose some new spectacles with it. Then I remembered how difficult that is! Especially if you have arrived there with your glasses on (no contacts). The first complication is when you have to take your own glasses off to try the others on. Right. Then the optician has all these little stickers all over the new glasses, so you have to put yourself in wierd angles to be able to see anything through them. Lastly, I was
alone.
Walking out of the shop this morning nearly made me fall over. Suddenly everything had so much more depth, very weird. After ten minutes my eyes got used to it, and I started to notice things I couldn't see before. I could count the amount of twigs in a tree, and see the faces of people in cars passing by. A whole new world! ;-)
