Czechia

Did you know...

- that no matter where you look, Prague is stunning!

- that dependent on where you look, you might see someone flashing at you, even in -5º.

- that the name Czechia is recommended to be used instead of Czech Republic.

- that dogs are obliged to wear a muzzle anywhere in public. (This is supposed to make people feel safer?)

- Czechs in Prague are pretty good in English and very proud to show you. Actually, if you do try hard to utter a sentence in Czech, be prepared to be laughed at! However, if you persist with the small words here and there, you might sometimes break through the Czech rudeness and get a sympathetic smile back.

- up to a decade ago, there was no such thing as customer service in Czechia. Believe me, they are still learning now. Local guides are advising those in tourism to be nicer to tourists, if they want the number of tourists to increase.

- it snowed so much in the Yesenik mountains that many trees broke by the weight of ice and snow. Others looked like characters in Star Wars!

... stay tuned for pictures!
