Trouw probeer ik dagelijks nog het NOS nieuws bij te houden, naast de wat meer mondiale nieuwspagina van de BBC. En zo af en toe zijn er leuke foto's te vinden, zoals deze:
This picture is taken during the 'Vierdaagse' in Nijmegen. During this event, more than 40,000 people join in for 20, 30 or 40 km walking per day, among which a lot of soldiers from different countries.
For the short period I lived in Nijmegen, I really felt at home. That was mainly due to the nice people I met in the centre where I spent most of my time. The city itself, however, is partly very old and beautiful, and partly filled with ugly architecture from after WW2. Small but cute and hosting the best cinema in the Netherlands: het Lux theater.

Tiny comment: the lucky walkers can choose between 30,40 or 50 km...Did you know Erica is participating as well? Last thing I heard was her leg muscles were really aching, so I hope she'll make it!

Helaas...ze is gisterochtend afgehaakt, zoveel spierpijn dat ze niet meer kon staan... :(
Heleen (ook een Zinkstukker) is nog wel aant wandelen, dus komt er toch nog iets goeds uit Utreg ;)
